Ok. I finally rewatched it, and in my opinion, this episode is one of the best written one of the show.

Let’s talk about the first and the last scene. We see Niko, in his hometown. Then this woman, Milena, says that to him :

The last shot of the episode is Villanelle getting off a train, walking. And then …

ALSO.

In this episode, there’s this big common theme (like a red string, oops) : family.
For Villanelle, first, who is looking for it, and is constantly being manipulated by the closest thing she has (had?) as a family, Konstantin.
For Konstantin, who is trying to get in touch with his daughter again (Irinaa <3333) and who is, IMO, behind the stolen money thing.
For Carolyn, who doesn’t understand her kid (someone hug Geraldine, please) and who is mourning her son, in her own way.
For Eve, who has now lost everything and everyone, except Villanelle, who sent her a really cute cake for her birthday.
And, of course, for Niko (rip), who went back to Poland, trying to heal and to build a new life.
For Eve and Villanelle, I think that it also shows that they have no one, but each other now. Everything that Eve had, before Villanelle,is now dead or destroyed : Elena is gone, Bill, Kenny and Niko are dead. She is alone, and therefore, she can be whoeverr she wants, to quote Villanelle in the flower garden.
Eve will go feral. And I’m here for it.
There was this big string here, reuniting all of them. It was symbolic, of course, but also physical: The red ribbon in Villanelle’s hair really reminded me of the string used to tie the note in the weapon which killed Niko:

This episode showed all the main characters as individuals, but also that no matter what, they are attached together too, in life and death. They are a part of a whole, and they might try to escape it, but it will never work.
